In Italy, Legislative Decree No. 24/2023 implemented Directive 2019/1937, which protects individuals who report crimes or irregularities they become aware of during their employment (known as "Whistleblowing"). Under specific conditions, this decree mandates private companies to establish internal reporting channels. These channels must ensure the confidentiality and identity of the whistleblower and protect them from any possible retaliatory action.
